The painting on the left is quite something. Apparently Picabia painted it in the 1920s OVER his own painting which had caused a scandal in Paris, so it’s about censorship, mocking the establishment of the time.
It’s a beauty!

That’s very interesting background info. I particularly like the juxtaposition of the real person looking at the little dot, with the painted person having his foot on the large dot. Your photograph is now is mocking the mocking, isn’t it?
No, no, no… not mocking! I was just enjoying the silhouettes playing together :-)
