The Record Books • Bat Out Of Hell

Murgatroyd Loaf’s late nineteenth century story of a youth who runs away from his home and family in Hell’s Kitchen, New York, to join the circus. Although he finds success as a member of the high wire troupe, developing a trademark move – hanging from the wire by his toes – the story ends in tragedy when circumstances force him to perform straight after his sweetheart’s ‘Butterfingers’ comedy routine.
